Cohen's Moral Panic

Folk Devils - Folk devil is a person or group of people who are portrayed in folklore or the media as outsiders and deviant, and who are blamed for crimes or other sorts of social problems .

One Example of folk devil in the media today is singer Chris Brown, the reason being is because of his popularity in the media today. Chris Brown is mainly known for his music but he is also known for his darker side after his violence on singer Rihanna. in my opinion he should not be on the front cover of magazine as he has committed a crime and his music should also not be played.
Other Folk Devils Are:
Marilyn Manson
Gary Glitter
Micheal Jackson

Questionnaire Results

From the results above i know that rock is the preffered music genre of the 22 different people who have done my questionnaire. also from my results i have learnt that the age range in 14-16, this shows that alot of the people who are buying these magaines are this age, the results also follow a certain pattern. The questonnaire has helped me to recognize what age range i have to aim my magazine at, the results also help me see how often most people buy music magazines and how much they are willing to spend on each.overall these results will help me alot in how i design my magazine and what i will include in it.

Feminism In The Media

Feminism - The advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political , social and economic equality to men. Early movements of Feminism rights began in the early 19th and 20th century, promoting the rights to vote for women.

the front cover contains a picture that is relevant to the image on the front. The Women on the front cover of the Magazine is Fergie. On some Magazines today Women are there for a man's point of view and seen as a sex object to males. The women on the Magazine is placed on the front cover and in the middle. This is because it is meant to attract the Male crowd into purchasing the Magazine. this also happens in films such as James Bond as the main female is always attractive and there for the male viewer to look at.
